Transduktion (von lateinisch trans „über“, „hinaus“, „jenseits von“; ducere „führen“) bedeutet „Hindurchführung“ und wird in unterschiedlichen Gebieten als Fachbegriff benutzt:

• Transduktion (Genetik), Genübertragung zwischen Bakterien durch Viren
• Transduktion (Gentherapie), einmalige Übertragung von Genen in eine Wirtszellen mittels Viren, die anschließend nicht replizieren (im Gegensatz zur produktiven Infektion)
• Transduktion (Neurobiologie), Umwandlung eines äußeren Reizes in ein physiologisches Signal, beispielsweise Phototransduktion
• Transduktion (Zellbiologie), Übermittlung eines Signals in eine Zelle, über die Zellmembran hinweg, mittels so genannter „second Messenger“, siehe Signaltransduktion
